Prep Work

  1. Cut the paneer

    Cut paneer into large cubes

  2. Marinate paneer
    Mix paneer with salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste, oil, and coriander. Rest for 15 mins
  3. Chop vegetables
    Finely chop onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies
  4. Blend masala
    Blend sautéed onion mixture with curd into a smooth paste

Method

  1. Sauté the onions

    Heat oil, sauté onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies until golden

  2. Blend masala
    Blend sautéed onions with curd, salt, and mix in salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Add little water if needed. into a smooth paste
  3. Roast paneer
    Heat oil, roast marinated paneer until golden on all sides
  4. Cook masala
    Heat oil and ghee, sauté bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves, cumin, add masala paste, and cook for 10 mins
  5. Add paneer
    Add roasted paneer to the masala, mix well
  6. Final touch
    Add garam masala, kasuri methi, and coriander leaves. Cover and cook for 5 mins
