Soak moong dal beforehand for an hour so it cooks faster in the dish.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften well.
Add chopped spinach, mix well, cover and cook on low flame for about 10 minutes until spinach releases moisture and cooks.
Once dal and spinach blend well, serve hot with rice or rotis.
