Prep Work

  1. Rinse rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds a few times. Soak them in water for 3 hours.

  2. Wash flattened rice well and soak for 30 minutes.
  3. Blend soaked rice, dal, and fenugreek with the poha into a smooth batter.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, add salt, mix well, and let it ferment for 8 hours.

Method

  1. After fermentation, mix the batter well, add turmeric powder and salt, and mix again.

  2. Heat a dosa tawa on medium heat until hot.
  3. Pour a ladle of batter onto the tawa and spread evenly to a medium thickness.
  4. Drizzle a little ghee around the dosa.
  5. Let the dosa cook on one side until golden and slightly porous.
  6. Flip the dosa carefully and cook the other side for a few seconds.
  7. Serve hot with chutney or vada curry.
