  1. Slice the mango

    Slice the ripe mango, discard the seed, and cut the flesh into smaller bits

  2. Make mango puree
    Grind the mango pieces into a fine puree using a mixer jar.
  3. Prepare hung curd
    Strain curd through a cloth to remove extra moisture, leaving thick curd.
  4. Mix ingredients
    In a bowl, combine hung curd, powdered sugar, and cardamom powder.
  5. Blend the mixture
    Use a hand blender or whisk to blend the mixture until smooth.
  6. Add mango puree
    Add the mango puree to the mixture and combine until well mixed.
  7. Layer for serving
    Fill 3/4 of a glass with shrikhand, layer with mango bits, and repeat.
  8. Garnish and serve chilled
    Top with mango bits and saffron strands; chill before serving.
