Prep Work

  1. Chop the onions

    Finely chop the onion and keep it aside.

  2. Clean the mushrooms
    Wash the mushrooms and pat them dry.
  3. Chop the garlic
    Finely chop the garlic and set it aside.
  4. Chop coriander
    Roughly chop coriander leaves for garnishing.

Method

  1. Melt the butter

    Take unsalted butter in a pan and let it melt fully.

  2. Saute the onions
    Add chopped onions to the pan and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the mushrooms
    Add the cleaned mushrooms and saute for a minute or two.
  4. Mix in the garlic
    Add the chopped garlic and mix everything well.
  5. Cook the mushrooms
    Let the mushrooms cook for a 5 minutes.
  6. Add seasoning
    Stir in salt and crushed pepper, mixing well.
  7. Add coriander
    Once mushrooms are cooked, add chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Final saute
    Saute for a few more seconds, then turn off the stove.
  9. Serve hot
    Serve the butter garlic mushrooms hot with bread or focaccia.
