Peel and chop vegetables
Peel the skin of carrots and beetroot, then chop them into small pieces and place in separate bowls

Chop the onions and peel the garlic cloves -
Cube bread for croutons
Cut bread into bite-sized cubes for toasting -

Measure liquids

Heat butter and spices
Take a wide pan and add butter. Once it melts, add bay leaves and cinnamon.
